Jon and I are making last minute plans to go to SLC and Provo this weekend. Looks like I will have some free time Friday afternoon while Jon is working. I will probably be in Provo for that time. Anyone got any tips for fun things to go with the kids for a few hours? Please remember I have two busy little boys and a bit of paranoia. So there is no way I would take my family to hike the Y or anything like that by myself.
Also I would love to see any of our friends that live in the area, or meet new friends that live in the area :). Anybody want to get together? If so comment or email me.
Now I will give you a quick look at my night last night. Noble came downstairs while I was cooking dinner. He was naked from the waist down. He told me his fishes went in the toilet. I went to investigate. I found Harrison (also naked from the waist down) coming down the stairs.
Upstairs I found their "babysitting" sister watching TV. :-| In the bathroom I found my mascara smeared all over my toilet and three of maybe a dozen fishy toys and their fishing net in my toilet. Noble told me those ones wouldn't go down. The toilet would not flush properly. Note all the toys and my mascara on the tub that the plumber retrieved from the recesses of our toilet. (We aren't sure he got them all.) It was a rough night for Mama and one little "babysitter" owes Mama a lot of money.

Will you have a vehicle because I would recommend the Thanksgiving Point Dinosaur Museum in Lehi to anyone with little ones, lots to see and a super fun water/sand building area and a sand pit where they can dig for dinos. My kids (7,5,3, and 1) all love it there.
Hi Stephanie,
I would check out Sundance Resort. We're planning our wedding up there so we've been up there almost every weekend and it's beautiful! A great place to enjoy nature without a hike and let the boys run around.
Hey Stephanie, I was going to recommend the dinosaur museum as well. Little boys (and girls) love it and my favorite part is it's hard to get lost. You basically walk a path through the museum so I don't constantly wonder where your kid has run off to:) Also, Thanksgiving point has their Halloween activities right now. They have the basic corn maze but also have a 'Barnyard Boo' which is so much fun for younger kids. Included is the small petting zoo. And be prepared, the weather has gotten cold and rainy and is supposed to snow. Definitely nothing like Vegas :)
The Provo beach resort is a lot of fun for kids. My boys love it. It's down at The Shops at The Riverwoods
Someday, maybe one night in the distant future when you are sitting around the dinner table with your grown children retelling stories of their childhood......this story will make you smile.
This scene looks very familiar to a Curious George episode that was on yesterday morning. In the episode George puts lots of his toys in the bathtub (that do not belong in the bathtub) and they go down the drain and into the pipes. The plumber had to come to his apartment and get them out. I am wondering if that is where he got the idea...
is the little babysitter in this photo??
E.
No. It wasn't Lauren. She was a helper trying to help mom not break down and cry. :)
I would also recommend Provo Beach Resort. My 8 y.o. and 4 y.o LOVE it. They have everything from a merry-go-round, dozens of arcade games, bowling, and one of those body surfing things (not sure what its called at the moment) And also a yummy 50's style ice cream shop. But lots of fun for kids and adults alike!
We were just there a few weeks ago as a family and took our kids to Cornbelly's near Thanksgiving Point and the Church History Museum downtown. It has a new Book of Mormon section for kids that is amazing! Have fun! :)
