first off -- dance party my house tonight 8:30. Truffles this week are the ultimate chocolate experience. Fudgee Truffles. Ummmm. Just ate one. Okay two. HOLY DANGEROUS!! They are going to be one of my favorites I can already tell.

second note: I have a bed I need to sell. Anyone need a king size pillowtop Sterns and Foster bed? It is a very nice bed and is only 3 months old. Here is the story.

See I loved our old bed but it was 9 years old and getting too soft for my honey. His back began hurting. So he went out and found a bed he liked. We bought the lovely pillowtop Bradenburg Sterns and Foster with the box springs and a great impermeable mattress cover. Then we started sleeping on it. Jon's back felt so much better. We had found his cure. Great right? Well it would have been if my back hadn't started hurting.

So after 3 months of trying to make it work for me, I have given up and have been sleeping on our old bed which is now in the nursery. Not so great for me or Jon or Harrison. Unfortunately we can't return the new mattress because it is past the 30 day return policy. So I am trying to sell it so we can go buy another new mattress (or maybe 2 twins that we can stick together :)

So if you are in the Las Vegas area and have been needing or wanting a new bed, I have a deal for you. We bought the mattress for $1500 the box springs for $400 and the mattress cover for $100. We would like to sell all of it for $1500. Anyone interested?

I wish I lived in LV so I could come to your SYTYCD party. Thank you so much for turning me on to it! I love watching it every week, even if I have to DVR it and watch it later.

It totally sucks that your new mattress doesn't work for you. :-(

I just got a new mattress, and here's my advice. When you go shopping, ask if they have any floor models that are soft on one side and firm on the other. It's firm for my husband and soft for me, the perfect compromise. Good luck!

We'd buy that mattress if we needed one! Sounds comfy :)

Oh my gosh, we have the same issue here, Stephanie. We bought a new mattress and box springs. I was determined to get a bed that I wouldn't fly out of at night when Lloyd flipped over and I like firm mattresses so the mattress itself was $950 on closeout at RCWilley, normally $1900 (it's nice quality and organic -- like I care -- but is clearly TOO FIRM for us). I'm a stomach and side sleeper and after a few months, I had a full blown bursitis issue in my shoulder and arm, off the hook painful. Had to wear ice around it even many times at work. Finally started to figure out it was the mattress. We get a gel topper from Costco. Several months pass and bursitis calmed down, but didn't go away completely. BTW, never ever had bursitis in my shoulder/arm before this. Then a few weeks ago Lloyd's lower back starts to hurt and gets so bad that last week on vacation I took him to urgent care. Discs are all enlarged and he's put on some heavy meds hoping they will help him avoid surgery. Then it clicked -- the BED! Lloyd is a back and side sleeper. We'd been looking at mattresses before, but so afraid to buy another one, the first one didn't turn up an issue until 2-3 months out. And, we don't feel that price will guarantee a good mattress. A nearly $2K mattress should not have debilitated us. So we stopped at Sam's Club on the way home from our vacation and bought a $500 Cal King mattress and so far I think my arm is straightening out better and it's too soon to tell for Lloyd. We kept our boxsprings. I'm going to lose quite a bit, but will put the mattress on CraigsList probably for ~$300.

So sorry I can't help with your situation, but thought it ironic that you all are going the same exact thing. I'm so over all these new mattresses that have foam this and that or whatever it is in them.

try listing it on ksl.com classifieds. It's free, TONS of people sell stuff on there from all over (not just UT where I am). We've bought/sold so many things there I can't count. Good luck!

Stephanie-
we were in the same boat a few months ago. Instead of buying a firm or soft mattress we went for the Temperpedic Cloud....drumroll please..
Problem solved!! I will NEVER own anything other than a Temperpedic mattress again! It's fantastic!
Good luck
