Award!!!

Okay. I know I have this blog that a few people read. :) But really, I am not the blogging guru. I don't usually do the typical blogging things like being "tagged" or passing around "awards." I am not against these things but I just haven't ever felt like playing along.

But today I just have to make up my own award because I have the most AWESOME readers and commenters on the planet. Seriously! I have LOVED all the great ideas people have thrown in the rink here for Christmas ideas. There are so many good ones. Many of them I have done in years past. With 4 girls, I have often combined funds and gotten one big ticket item for all the girls to share.

I would tell you all what I decided to get, but see ... Sabrina sometimes reads my blog. So, you will all have to wait till Christmas too. Sorry. I promise I will post a photo of the big ticket items.

Thank you so much to all of you who read and all you who comment. I am amazed at how few crazy comments I have gotten. Hardly any really. I just really think you all are the best. So you all win my own made up best blog reader/commenter award!

Now, another angel mom tagged me on her site to list 10 things I loved about my angel. I thought that might be one tag I would feel like doing. Tonight, I'll share.

I love the way Camille would kick her legs when ever she got excited or happy.
I love and miss her open mouth kisses.
I love the look she would give me when she was headed to do something she shouldn't do. It was a look of question and measuring.
I love that she slept through the night and went to bed without a fight if she was in her own bed and if she was tired.
I love that she used to plug her own nose and then talk just to hear how her voice changed.
I love that she loved and put up with ALL the love of her sisters.
I love and miss the super softness of her skin.
I loved that she was so petite and easy to carry around without breaking my arm or back.
I love how she would nod or shake her head to answer my questions.
I love how she loved to feel textures, carpet in her mouth and food pieces in her hands. She was a true explorer.

And  ...  I love that she still checks in on me and her family and helps us feel her love.

If I might be terribly intrusive and add an 11th?

I love (and am humbled) that Camille comes from such a faith-driven family that has spanned the generations and will thrive in the eternities.

OK .. OK .. maybe I'll sneak in a 12th:

I loved Camille's emerging hairline -- quite distinctive like her Mama's.

love 'n hugs,

You should set aside a certain time where readers can come and hear what you are doing for Christmas and then Delete it when the kids wake up. The suspense is killing me :)

What a beautiful list about your baby girl.
I would love to hear the same list of your other girls... and I think I've been inspired to write one about my own children.
(PS. Cant WAIT to see what you decided for Xmas gifts!)

I love how Camille has helped me become closer to my Heavenly Father.
I love that I think about her every day and my thoughts of her remind me to live life with an eternal perspective.

what a good post! maybe next time you'll have to post about your gorgeous new buffet :)

those things about camille brought back memories even for me. i can't believe she figured out how to plug her nose and talk. she was so little and young! what a silly pants! i love camille and i'm soo grateful that you can feel her with you and your family in your Christ-centered home.

ps - i love the self proclaimed award thing. maybe i'll start giving those to me on my blog.

My cousin sent me to your blog because I recently lost my 7 week old baby boy to a complication with his congenital heart defect.

I wanted to thank you for having the courage to post your feelings about losing your daughter; reading through your posts after losing Camille, I keep saying to myself, "I feel the exact same way only I could never have written that." So, thank you for saying what I couldn't.

I am curious how you have gotten in touch with other angel moms. Did they just find your blog or is there a website you've all found or something else?

Sincerely, ~ Kristine, Mom to Caleb 8/8/08 - 9/28/08

Thank you Stephanie! You are absolutely amazing!!! I read your posts often and they are so uplifting and fill my heart so full of love. I try a little harder to be a better person after I read your blog. I need to carry some of your posts with me wherever I go so that I can become more like our Savior. You are a wonderful example of what the gospel teaches. Your children are so lucky to have you as a mother. I strive to be a more loving, patient, understanding, and caring mother. Thank you again for your words of wisdom and your great faith.
