Midnight Sun

Some of you may have already heard about the leak of this much anticipated novel by Stephenie Meyer. I feel really sad that someone leaked a partial draft of her book on the internet. I am even MORE bummed that she has put the book on hold indefinitely because of this leak.

I am thrilled, however, that she has made the partial draft available to us her fans who wouldn't go read it illegally on the internet. If you want to download it go see her site HERE I have spent the day reading on my laptop. I would SOOOO much rather be holding a book than a computer, but I have throughly enjoyed reading this side of the Twilight novel. I actually wish I had read this before I read Breaking Dawn.

I hope Meyer decides to return to this novel and finish it someday. I just know how bummed I am going to be when I get to the end of this draft. I think having this partial draft out there will only whet appetites all the more.

Well I am 150 pages into the 264 page draft and loving it. I am feeling better today. The fever seems to be more under control and Edward and Bella have been occupying my thoughts. I think I will return to them now. Happy reading!

I am so bummed too. I stayed up till 3:30am last night reading it. She has been given so much hard time and she is a great author. I LOVE Midnight Sun and would buy it any day.

I just found your blog while wasting way too much time in blog land...my house is a mess, I have a million things on my to-do list and I am sitting here reading! My heart breaks for your loss!!! You are so strong! I don't know how you are doing it all but I will pray you have continued strength. Also, thank you for sharing your experiences and your tip on Stephenie Meyer's novel...NOW I'm going to have to read the draft of Midnight Sun. I got so sucked into the Twilight Series I thought my husband was going to hide the books so I would act like a wife and mother again! I am going to add your blog to my blog list...you are so inspiring!

What?!?! I hadn't heard that it was leaked. I was so looking forward to that book. I feel bad for Stephanie Meyer having to go through this. Thanks for the update. I guess I will just have to read what I can now. I'm glad you are starting to feel better.

I LOVE her books. But I am lost - is there a 5th on the way??? I would be so thrilled! I am just on the third book (so behind!) but I am very hooked.

I'm not a fan of hers, but I think it's disgusting that someone would leak her work. So low.

I also just found your blog. I found it through the Nie Nie day auctions. You are a strong woman, though I'm sure most days it does not feel like you are. You are helping me learn more about accepting trials. My Mom died when I was 18 (this was 15 yrs ago). I have to learn what faith truly is. Just because you want someone to live doesn't mean they will. My grandma told us Mom died because we didn't have enough faith. It's hard to know.

I love the Twilight series. I hope to have enough money to get Breaking Dawn for my birthday in Oct. I heard it wasn't as good as the others though. I look forward to reading Midnight Sun too.

I finished reading Midnight Sun last night at 4:00am! Aaron got called into the hospital and I couldn't go back to sleep, so I read away. I'm so sad it doesn't look like she will finish this version of the Twilight Series! While reading, I just couldn't wait for the meadow scene! I really wanted to hear Edward's side of it... DANG IT! I would think Edward's books would really appeal to a male audience over Bella's side of the story.

I want to read it soo bad but i know if i start it i will only want it to be finished to the end. I won't feel right reading a book that isn't even finished, though i know in the end i will end up reading it anyways.

I was sooo mad that it ended right before the meadow scene! Ggggrrrrrr. I think after Breaking Dawn was not what I expected (or wanted) Midnight Sun was going to redeem it all for me. I'll be so disappointed if it doesn't get finished!

My sister-in-law and I both neglected our families for 2 weeks while we read the entire Twilight series. Our husbands were thrilled when we were done. I just heard about Midnight Sun ... great, they win, we lose. :(

I love the power of books. It's amazing how they can help you escape, sometimes. I heard nothing about this leak. Thanks for letting me know of the right place to get it. I still haven't read "Breaking Dawn", nor have I started "The Host". I've got a lot of reading to do before I catch up on my "Meyers" reads. For the time being, I'm stumbling my way through "Abundance: A Novel of Marie Antoinette". Not a fast or enjoyable read, but I am determined to finish it.
