Remember

Well it seems the vote went overwhelmingly for the duet. But I took Molly's suggestion and with the help of our amazing producer Sean, we were able to mix a version of a little of each of us and the duet. Here it is on top of some video from Camille's one and only birthday party. She was a bit bewildered about what all the fuss was about during her party. She liked to observe when she was around lots of people.

I wonder how she must have seen the world and all of us in it through her perfect baby eyes. I wonder if I can ever be the woman she knew me to be -- the woman I was before -- the Queen I am supposed to become.

I feel her helping me now to see myself as I was, as I am, and as I ought to be. It strengthens me to know I was a valiant follower of Jesus Christ and an advocate for His plan for us to become more like our Heavenly Parents.

We all chose to follow Him. We all were on the same side. The whole human family came here with one purpose: follow the Savior, live like Him, follow His steps of repentance and baptism so we can return HOME clean and pure to live with Him and Our Father again.

We lose that vision here. We let life cloud our view. But babies, they are so fresh from heaven, surely they must still remember. Camille must have known who we all were.

I feel that bit of divinity crying out inside "Remember, Remember, keep your eye on the Plan. This is all a part of that Plan. Use your agency to draw closer to Him. You are strong. You are valiant. You are steadfast and immovable in your faith. You are His and He is with you. Live up to who you REALLY are: a descendant of incredibly strong, faithful men and women whose greatness echos in the blood that flows through your veins; a sister to siblings as valiant, strong and faithful as Captain Moroni; a mother to sweet, loving, strong daughters, a mother to an angel, a noble heir and daughter of the Almighty God. "

Remember, Remember, Remember

I love that mix. That is the most touching and sweet. Thank you for sharing the video. I wish I had been there at her birthday. It seems so long ago now. It is nice to see her cute hands dig into the cake. She always seemed to be so dainty to me though.

With each of my babies I felt like when they were first born they brought to our home a piece of Heaven. I hoped as I watched their eyes and sang to them that I'd catch a glimpse of who they last talked to before coming to Earth or the angels who came with them.

I believe remember is repeated over and over for us because it is one of the turning keys to open the doors to go back to our Father in heaven. I love that quote you shared. Who were you quoting?

Wow am I glad my friend mentioned your site on her page. How inspiring. I am one of those moms who struggles everyday to be a nurturer not a disciplinarian. I have been shocked at the shortness of my temper sometimes. I nannied and thought I would be the best mom in the world. I need pages like yours to remind me each and everyday how blessed I am and how precious my sweet angels are. I've sat here sobbing as I read your blog and have, like everyone else that's read it, a renewed determination to appreciate every moment and to Behold my little ones through God's eyes. Thanks you Camille and family for blessing my life!

What a beautiful lullaby, I am so glad you have that as a wonderful memory/song to cherish forever.

These are wonderful words Stephanie, a great reminder to Remember, because it is so easy to forget, and get lost in the busyness of life.

We just had the pleasure of hosting Stephen, Rachel and fam for a few days...we love ALL of your family and we continue to pray for you!!

I have been sharing your story with my husband and many other women I have met through blogging lately, you are truely a tower of strength and you have strengthened me in 24hrs... no lie. I wish I knew you but I feel as if I already do. I am so thankful for our gospel and our Savior for the rock that he is and set for all of us. My pain has been agonizing for almost 2 yrs now and last night my son and I have lightened our load a little bit, thanks for helping.

It's so easy to see how much you love your children and what a wonderful mother (and person) you are from all of your posts. You tell such sweet details of your girls that I wonder if I ever take the time to notice in my daily rushing around. I am going to try harder. Love the new mix of the song, love the remember quote...love you! I feel so blessed to know you.
P.S. Happy Birthday Lauren!

I stumbled across your blog through clicking around and clicking around and so on from other blogs. I'm sure I'm not alone on this one.

As I sat here for the last two hours in my quiet family room after putting my boys to bed I have read through your blog. I had to comment...

I am so very THANKFUL and BLESSED to have found you. You are so inspirational. I wanted to take a minute to THANK YOU. Thank you for your writings.. for sharing your life. For your honest and deep thoughts and words.

You are so very blessed even through you loss of your beautiful baby girl. I am sorry her life was cut short. I will be back and look forward to hearing more about your faith and love as a family.

I thought of you all day today. I am in Elizabeth and Morgan's ward and linked through them. I feel awkward peering into your life, but learn SOOO much from you. I check back when I have the strength, and always leave feeling inspired to do better, to be better. Today my daughter fell off a play structure at a park, and she ended up in the ER with a concussion. It was a day filled with thoughts of perspective, love, and gratitude. She is okay now, but I tapped into your strength in our time of worry, and do believe you and Camille are indeed serving a world wide mission that is blessing many, for many different reasons. Thanks for being selfless in putting yourself out there to share your strength. Your light is a ripple effect across the world of mothers. May God bless you always as your sweet angel watches over you.

This is just the mot beautiful thing that I've seen! The music and the way that you have put it together as a duet is just so wonderfully done. I've been following your journey for some time. I admire you more than I can say. Thank you so much for your teachings, I am a mother of 3 children, who I adore. It's so nice to see other families that simply adore each other too! You are in my thoughts and always in my prayers.

So yes another comment from someone you don't know...Anyway- I just want to let you know how intrigued (?) I have been in reading your posts and seeing the many ways in which you are being comforted by the spirit...It has been a continual process which has come to you in many ways, who better to comfort you than a Heavenly Father who can relate to having lost a child, I had a friend who has lost an infant say that they have never felt more loved or closer to their heavenly father than when grieving over the loss of their baby girl. What a comfort it is to have the knowledge that Jesus Christ died to make it possible for every single one of us to return to our father. What a wonderful reunion awaits you and your family !!

Your quote means a lot to me. Thank you for the reminder to remember.

It is so true...life lessons, no matter what they might be, teach us that A. we are valiant, as you mentioned, if we stay the course and that B. it is something we chose in order to be a part of the Plan. Your thoughts help remind me of this with my own life lessons. Thankful, soooo thankful, to have friends who inspire!

I love both versions of the song. It was so touching. It was beautiful. Perfect really. Perfect in its love and feeling. You can hear the love and its touching. I love it both ways. But if I have to choose. I like the one with both of you. The emotion could move mountains.

I think this was one of my favorite posts. If we could only catch a glimpse of our own divine potential, and remember for a moment, where we came from, and where we want to go...What a beautiful thought, that your baby can see you as the Queen you can become. Thank you for sharing your beautiful thoughts and words. You have touched my heart.
